Climate-controlled Vaults
GRM’s data vaults are built to meet the strict fire resistant construction standards of the American National Standards Institute and the National Fire Protection Association. The environment, which is designed to preserve and protect data, as well as provide secure video and film storage, is equipped with an independent HVAC system and is computer-monitored to maintain a temperature range between 65° and 68° and relative humidity between 35% and 45%. Key pad entry, motion detectors, heat and smoke detection, CCTV and an FM-200 fire suppression system offer state-of-the-art security and fire protection for all your tape storage needs. And the vault is strategically located to provide rapid disaster recovery services to primary business centers and major hot sites.
Technology
All media storage units -- individual tape media, server cartridges and transfer cases -- are monitored by advanced barcode tracking technology. Vault librarians utilize the most advanced laser scanners. GRM drivers, equipped with laser scanners and portable printers, provide clients with scanner-validated delivery and pickup scan receipts. Digital Dispatch, GRM’s proprietary fleet management and performance software, monitors all on time performance activity. TMS and Distributed Systems tape management software is available to our clients, and a full-time IT staff is always available to lend technical support.
Transportation Services
At GRM, we take seriously our role as your partner in business continuity, data protection and disaster recovery support. For that reason, GRM data vaults operate 24/7 for around-the-clock access to critical data. Twenty-four hour live customer assistance is never farther than a phone call away. GRM is a national purveyor of records management services headquartered in Jersey City, minutes from both the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels. One of the benefits of GRM has always been its immediate access in and out of New York City. Since the events of September 11, GRM has had to rethink its entire business model. With over 3,000 customers located in the metropolitan area, they were immediately concerned about meeting the needs of their customers.
